     Plastic Necklace Performance

Plastic Necklace Performance is an everyday-, enduranceperformance and had its starting point in an experiment I did back in November 2017, where I experimented with air drying clay (take a look here). In this performance I work with 450g of AnyShape’s shapable plast, where I continously have opdated the extracts from our lives on facebook.
My set of dogmes before the performance sounded like this:

The genesis, duration and content of this performance is defined by the premises for the material. By locking a plastic necklace wothout opening around my neck, I position myself in a performativ role, which I am uncertain about what is going to contain.  The symbiose between my everdaylife and the necklace is the performance. The project starts, when the necklace is dry, and will end when it breaks.

but in my process I started looking for situations, which would contribute to get the necklace off since it wouldn't break by itself. My thoughts started circling around a performative experiment with instpiration from Yoko Onos Cut Piece Performance. "DAY 83: File Management" is a culmination of a longer performative process with the plastic tension around my shoulders in 83 days, where relevant events from this time period is presented.
